Dance Design and Dressing Up
I left horses behind in my childhood, to go and flirt with the world of fashion, ending up with a BA hons degree in Fashion Design from Central St Martins and then landing a job in Paris as a fashion designer for 3 years before returning to London to set up my own fashion label Ursula Bombshell selling to high end boutiques in London I had always been involved with the world of dance and it was a natural side-step for me to start designing costumes for Contemporary Dance and Modern Ballet and have worked with some of the most amazing dancers , choreographers and ballet companies all over the world including San Francisco Ballet, Vienna State Opera House, Stuttgart Ballet, The Royal Ballet, English National Opera, Wayne McGregor, Random Dance, Javier de Frutos, Rambert, and Shobana Jeyasingh Dance Company .
The Art of Glass
In addition to my dance design work I have been part of Float Glass Design over the last few years - a company set up by myself and my husband specialising in bespoke architectural glass and site-specific glass structures and sculptures. I have created several Public Art Commissions for hospitals and public buildings and we were delighted to win the bid for making a Glass Art commission for The Natural History Museum in 2019 which is now a permanent feature in the entrance lobby.
